Ivonne wins a prestigious hairdressing prize in Paris!
Ivonne Martens-Opdam from Berkel en Rodenrijs won two prestigious hairdressing awards in Paris at the Haute Coiffure Française event.
A global organization bringing together the best hairdressers from forty countries on five continents. Ivonne won in the "Woman" category and was also the overall winner of the 2023 World Trophy. This leaves her behind the winners of five other categories. The ceremony took place at the famous Folies Bergère theater in the heart of Paris.
A few months ago, Ivonne submitted photos of her hair collection to a number of national and international hairdressing competitions. One of them was this HCF competition in France, where people could enter in six categories. Ivonne was then nominated, along with four others, in the Femme category. Her hair collection is inspired by the strong, independent woman, completely herself, without shame or fear.
A dream come true ...
Ivonne Martens-Opdam on winning the award: "Winning these trophies is like a dream come true. I really didn't expect to win such a prestigious award. I have several examples in the industry, and you don't expect to ever achieve what they once did. My goal is to have my skills at the top of the industry. A lot of people doubt themselves and that stops them from taking a step forward. I'm very proud to have been able to show that if you overcome your own insecurities and follow your own path, your dreams can come true. Not only winning the trophies themselves, but also the prizes that go with them are more magical than I could ever have imagined.
